Joshua sits south of Burleson on the Johnson County side of the metro, far enough out that the pace of building is nothing like the northern suburbs. Most of the town is modest detached housing on generous lots — North Joshua and South Joshua either side of the old centre, Joshua Heights on the rise — and once you leave the city limits the pattern turns to properties on several acres.
