Weatherford is built around a Victorian courthouse square on the western edge of the metro, far enough out that the countryside starts almost immediately. The streets nearest the square hold late-nineteenth and early-twentieth-century houses with deep porches and tall windows; Crown Valley and the newer additions are conventional suburban building; and beyond that, toward Lake Weatherford and out past Brock, the pattern becomes horse and cattle properties on real acreage.
